The kid he is today
Dear Dr. Lohr and Dr. King,
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding care and support you’ve given our son, Cooper, throughout his cardiac surgery journey and ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) diagnosis. You have helped Cooper become the kid he is today—the kind, spunky, funny 9-year-old who loves hockey, lacrosse, fishing, and biking.
Dr. Lohr, your expertise, calm presence, and compassionate care made an incredibly difficult time more manageable. We are so thankful for the confidence and reassurance you brought to our family during Cooper’s surgery and throughout his recovery.
Dr. King, we deeply appreciate your thoughtful assessments, insight, and guidance in helping us better understand and support Cooper. Your work has been instrumental in helping him gain the tools and confidence he needs to thrive both at home and in school.
To the entire cardiac and neuropsychology support teams—thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and collaboration. The care you’ve provided has been not only medically exceptional but truly personal and impactful.
We are forever grateful to M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital and the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain for making Cooper’s journey so incredibly successful.
— Molly and Ross Hussey, in a letter to M Health Fairview pediatric cardiologist Jamie Lohr, MD, and Kelly King, PhD, a pediatric neuropsychologist at the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain
